This fine bass features a semi-hollow basswood body, with a black walnut top. The basswood is very lightweight with a warm low end to it, combined with the short scale length, it has a very nice bloom to the notes. This particular walnut has very nice color variation, and some tasteful subtle flame as well. The binding is a faux tortoiseshell, made from celluloid. The 30” scale neck is made from eastern birdseye maple, with an amber hued nitrocellulose lacquer finish. The fingerboard is made from Goncalo Alves, and features the integrated thumbrest. The bridge is made from the matching wood for a perfect color match. This bass weighs in at a whopping 5 1/2 lbs!! Included is a custom made form fit hardshell case, made locally, in Los Angeles, Ca.
