This fine bass features a semi-hollow alder body, and a flame maple “drop top” with a generous forearm contour. The maple top on this bass is my favorite type, and has been seasoning for over 25 years, waiting to become a special instrument. The “broken” flame pattern is very natural looking, and to me, far more interesting than highly ordered “perfect” looking wood….plus it has some nice little brown streaks in it. The 30” scale mahogany neck has a lined Goncalo Alves fingerboard, and matching bridge. A custom form fit case (made locally in Los Angeles, Ca) is included.
