Mouse 30 Spalted Alder #1599. This unique bass features a semi-hollow cherry body, with a spalted alder top. I selected this wood because I thought it had just the right amount of spalted lines it- tasteful yet interesting. The center of the body has some curly figure too; on the whole this piece has a lot of subtle detail to it, and nice color variation as well. The neck is made from eastern rock maple, with a lined fretless ebano fingerboard and matching bridge. Ebano is a composite material made from ebony wood fibers and glue, combined under very high pressure. It is a great way to utilise smaller remnant pieces of ebony to create larger usable pieces for instruments. It looks, saws, sands and sounds just like the very best ebony, but is even more stable. A custom made form fit case (from G&G cases in Los Angeles) is included.
