Mb-2 Walnut #1579. This Mb-2 features a semi-hollow swamp ash body, and a beautiful Claro walnut top. This particular wood is reclaimed from downed trees in Northern California, and has been aged for over 10 years. Claro walnut has a wide color spectrum; brown, red, tan, black and everything in between. The neck is from black walnut, with an unlined ebony fingerboard, with the integrated thumbrest feature. This is bass is strung with Rotosound Tru Bass 88 strings, they evoke an upright bass, and are very thick sounding with a slightly faster decay than the La Bella 760n strings. This combination of a light ash body, walnut neck, and Rotosound strings make a for a very punchy, robust sounding bass. In addition, this bass has an unlined fingerboard, which also adds a bit of punch to the sound. A form fit hardshell case (made locally in Los Angeles California) rounds out the package
