Mb-2 Koa #1575. This unique Mb-2 fretless bass features a (rare) one piece semi-hollow swamp ash body and a gorgeous lightly flamed Koa wood “drop top.” This Koa top is made from well seasoned (50 years+) wood. The drop top bodies have substantial arm contour, where the top wood is steamed and then vacuum pressed onto the body. The 34” scale neck is made from maple. The fingerboard and bridge are made from a dark Brazilian rosewood. The headstock is a Brazilian rosewood overlay. A locally made (in Los Angeles) form fit custom hardshell case is included.
