Mouse 30 Maple #1608. This bass features a semi-hollow alder body, with a flamed western maple top. This is a drop top model with a generous arm contour, and the western maple is a bit warmer sounding on the top end than eastern maple, making a good match for the alder body and the addition of frets.

The 30” scale neck is made from mahogany, and features an Indian rosewood fingerboard, with the integrated thumbrest feature. The frets are a tiny mandolin size, and offer a low action that is very easy to play. The frets are made of nickel silver (a softer metal alloy), and due to their tiny size, do not impart a metallic tone. The strings are La Bella 760n, a steel flat wound with a black nylon outer wrapping. This wrapping is very smooth, and also protects the frets from wear, allowing a small fret size that will have a very long lifespan.
