Mb-2 Purple Heart Bass#1475. This very unique Mb-2 bass features a semi-hollow mahogany body with a purple heart wood top; what you see is the actual 100% natural color of the wood, no dies or stains have been used. The dark color of the faux tortoise shell binding blends beautifully with the color of the top and body back. One of the things I really enjoy about instrument making in addition to the wood combining for the purpose of tone, is the color harmony aspect. The 34” scale neck is from mahogany with black grain filler, and a lined ebony fingerboard (with the integrated thumbrest option). Black hardware and a custom made from fit harshell case complete the package.
