Deep 5 Koa Fretted Bass #1379. This bass features a 34" scale with mandolin frets, and is strung E to high C. The neck is a 5 piece construction of eastern rock maple with rosewood strips, and an Indian rosewood fingerboard. The body is alder, with a highly flamed koa top, with no f-hole and no binding. The lack of the f-hole allows the top to be more rigid, which in this particular case helps note definition, while the large hollow chambers of the body add warmth and fullness to the tone. A custom made form fit hardshell case is included
