D4-30 Koa- this is a fine custom bass, it was one of four in this particular style, it features a Deep 4 body shape, but in regular thickness (1.75"). The body is alder with a highly figured koa top and no binding. The neck is two pieces of mahogany with a myrtle strip down the center, it is a 30" scale. The fingerboard and bridge are Brazilian rosewood from old harvest, it had been seasoning about 40+ years before I acquired it (same age and source as the koa top). This is a very lively/acoustic sounding instrument, and is played in and ready to go. The strings are La Bella copper/white nylon tapewound. Originally made in July of 2013 the cost of the new bass was $4400. It includes a deluxe quality gig bag. Condition is 8+ (out of 10) due to normal playing wear and one ding on the back of the body (see photo). The side dots are ON the lines (usually they are between the lines)
