Mouse 30 Walnut #1611. This fretted bass features a semi-hollow swamp ash body and a unique one piece walnut top. Whenever I see blocks of wood large enough to make one piece tops I always get it, as they are quite rare. I like one piece tops as they give an instrument a very flowing/organic look. The neck is made from eastern black walnut, and features an Indian rosewood fingerboard made from aged stock (20+ years). The advantage of this is that after wood goes through seasonal changes, it becomes more stable, and also more resonant. The tiny mandolin frets are made from nickel, so they are a fairly soft metal keeping the tone warm. The black nylon outer wrapping on the La Bella 760n strings is smooth, so there is virtually no wear on the frets, allowing a very small size to be used, which makes the bass very easy to play, while introducing only a small amount of metal to the string path. This is a used instrument, but in excellent almost new shape and will carry the factory warrantee. An Access gig bag is included.
